First Time at a Cigar Lounge? How to Walk In Like a Regular
No experience needed. Here is exactly what to expect on your first visit.

Plenty of people walk into Ash & Barrel for the first time not knowing a Robusto from a Churchill. That is fine. Here is what to expect.
1. Bring your ID
Ash & Barrel is 21 and over, every day, every event.
2. Head to the walk-in humidor
The humidor keeps our cigars at the right temperature and humidity so they smoke the way they should. Step inside, look around, and do not be shy about asking for help.
3. Tell us what you like
You do not need cigar vocabulary. Tell our team what you usually drink, whether you like coffee or sweet flavors, and how much time you have. They will steer you toward a good fit. First-timers usually do best starting with something mild.
4. Let us cut it for you
Not sure how to cut or light a cigar? Ask. We are happy to show you.
5. Pair it with a pour
Cigars and whiskey were made for each other. A simple rule for beginners: match strength with strength. A mild cigar goes well with a smooth, lighter whiskey. A fuller cigar can stand up to a bold bourbon or rye. Our bartenders can suggest a pairing from the marble bar.
6. Slow down
A cigar is meant to be enjoyed over an hour or more. Grab a leather chair, catch the game on the big screens, or start a round of chess.
